The surface of the brain is divided into several lobes.  The frontal lobes are in the frontal fossa. The temporal lobes are in the middle fossa.  The parietal lobes extend from the primary fissure back to parietooccipital fissure which is the boundary between the primary motor and sensory cortices. The occipital lobes are the most posterior portion of the cerebrum.  The cerebellum has two lobes.
